Crostinis
Crostinis are indispensable for a variety of applications. Made by toasting thinly sliced baguette, we serve crostinis on several dishes at our restaurant.

Charcuterie boards, Chicken Pâté, pimento cheese, and various other dishes all feature crostinis as the means of building each bite. These crostinis are thin and more like a cracker than thicker toasted bread. They’re super simple to make, and they hold very well in an airtight container at room temperature, so they are the perfect make-ahead for having friends over or meal prepping.

They also make a quick lunch out of tuna, egg, or Chicken Salad with Fresh Herbs as an alternative to building a sandwich. One whole baguette will give you about 40 crostinis, so even if you have half of one left, it’s still a great way to utilize the rest before it goes stale. You can make garlic crostinis by using the leftover oil from roasting garlic. Leftover crostinis can be smashed into breadcrumbs for topping pastas and salads. But that’s the great thing about simple ingredients- their uses truly are endless.
Main Ingredients:
Baguette: French baguette makes wonderful crostinis. You can use fresh, day-old, or stale baguettes. With the oil and baking, they will regain that nice crunch.
Olive Oil: Olive oil or infused oil works well here. We use olive oil, but garlic oil or our leftover shallot oil also work well, each imparting its own personality.
